Iowa High School Soccer - Newton knocks off Albia
April 17, 2025: Newton, IA 50208 Fans at Thursday's non-league battle between the Newton Cardinals (Newton, IA) and the visiting Albia Blue Demons (Albia, IA), saw Newton's soccer squad triumph over Albia by a count of 5-0.
The Cardinals (4-5) will now prepare for their battle against Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA). The Tigerhawks enter the non-league battle with a 6-0 record. In their last battle, Colfax-Mingo tipped Fort Dodge (Fort Dodge, IA), 1-0, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Blue Demons battle the Moulton-Udell Eagles (Moulton, IA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, April 21. Albia will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Eagles enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 1-1 non-league Chariton (Chariton, IA).
