Michigan High School Soccer - Mattawan nudged by South Christian
April 17, 2025: Grand Rapids, MI 49315 South Christian Sailors (Grand Rapids, MI) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the visiting Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI), 3-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, South Christian advances its record to 6-0 on the campaign. The Sailors travel to Thornapple Kellogg (Middleville, MI) to clash with the Trojans in a Ottawa-Kent - Gold test on Saturday, April 19. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 5-1. Thornapple Kellogg won 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Wyoming (Wyoming, MI)
The Wildcats now have a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Portage Central for a non-league battle on Monday, April 21. Mattawan will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-1.
