The Hempfield Area Spartans baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting Penn-Trafford Warriors to 6 in the Spartans non-league win on Thursday.

The Spartans now hold a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host Canon-McMillan for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 22. Hempfield Area will play a Big Macs team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA). The Big Macs record now stands at 3-1.

With the defeat, Penn-Trafford drops to 9-4 on the year. The Warriors host North Allegheny (Wexford, PA) to play the Tigers in a non-league test on Saturday, April 19.
