Iowa High School Soccer - Western Dubuque toppled by Solon
April 17, 2025: Solon, IA 52333 Solon Spartans (Solon, IA) backers exited the stadium pleased Thursday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Western Dubuque Bobcats (Epworth, IA), 9-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Solon advances its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Spartans host Independence (Independence, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a WaMaC-East test on Monday, April 21. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 2-5.
The Bobcats now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Clinton for a non-league test on Friday, April 18. Western Dubuque will clash with a River Kings team coming off a 7-0 non-league loss to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA). The River Kings record now stands at 2-8.
