Botkins Trojans (Botkins, OH) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host National Trail Blazers (New Paris, OH), 6-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Botkins improves its record to 6-4 on the year. The Trojans travel to Russia (Russia, OH) to play the Raiders in a Shelby County game on Friday, April 18. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 2-5. Russia won 20-3 in their recent league game against Fairlawn (Sidney, OH)

The Blazers now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Franklin Monroe for a Western Ohio Athletic game on Saturday, April 19. National Trail will play a Jets squad coming off a 15-1 league loss to Bradford (Bradford, OH). The Jets record now stands at 0-5.
