Amelia Academy Patriots (Amelia Court House, VA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad nip the visiting North Cross Raiders (Roanoke, VA), 6-5 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, Amelia Academy advances its record to 5-3 on the season. The Patriots travel to Fuqua (Farmville, VA) to battle the Falcons in a Virginia Colonial Conference match on Tuesday, April 21. The Falcons come into the match with a record of 2-8. Fuqua lost 9-5 in their recent league match against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA)

The Raiders now have a 5-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 18. North Cross will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 10-0 league loss to Cape Henry Collegiate (Virginia Beach, VA). The Saints record now stands at 9-9.
