In Friday's league contest, the host Maple Mountain Eagles lacrosse squad scored a tight 14-9 triumph over the Payson Lions.

The Eagles (4-3) will now prepare for their contest against Springville (Springville, UT). The Red Devils go into the contest with a 0-5 record. In their last contest, Springville was overwhelmed by Timpview (Provo, UT), 6-5, in a league contest.

Next, the Lions meet the Wasatch Wasps (Heber City, UT) in a contest, on Wednesday, April 22. Payson will attempt to better on its 6-4 season record. The Wasps go into the contest with a 9-0 record after their 21-1 league win over Salem Hills (Salem, UT).
