In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Cascade Cadets softball team scored a tight 11-4 victory over the Avon Orioles.

The Cadets (6-0) will now prepare for their match against Brownsburg (Brownsburg, IN). The Bulldogs go into the non-league match with a 6-3 record. In their last match, Brownsburg tipped Indianapolis Bishop Chatard (Indianapolis, IN), 3-2, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Orioles battle the Hamilton Southeastern Royals (Fishers, IN) in a Hoosier Crossroads match, on Tuesday, April 21. Avon will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record.
