Connecticut High School Softball - New Canaan nudges Staples
April 18, 2022: New Canaan, CT 06840 New Canaan Rams (New Canaan, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT), 5-4 in a league challenge.
The Rams now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilton for a Fairfield County challenge on Wednesday, April 20. New Canaan will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 5-1 league loss to Norwalk (Norwalk, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
With the loss, Staples falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Wreckers host Greenwich (Greenwich, CT) to battle the Cardinals in a Fairfield County challenge on Wednesday, April 20. The Cardinals enter the challenge with a record of 1-5. Greenwich lost 6-2 in their recent league challenge against McMahon (Norwalk, CT)
