New York High School Softball - Canastota bounces Phoenix
April 18, 2023: Canastota, NY 13032 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league match between the Canastota Red Raiders (Canastota, NY) and the visiting Phoenix Firebirds (Phoenix, NY), saw Canastota's softball squad achieve victory over Phoenix by a count of 16-1.
The Red Raiders now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Holland Patent for a non-league match on Wednesday, April 19. Canastota will face a Golden Knights squad coming off a 16-8 league loss to Rome Free Academy (Rome, NY). The Golden Knights record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Phoenix falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Altmar-Parish-Williamstown (Parish, NY) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Friday, April 28. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 4-0.
