Maine High School Lacrosse - Cheverus overwhelms Thornton Academy
April 18, 2024: Saco, ME 04072 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) and the host Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME), saw Cheverus's lacrosse team top Thornton Academy by a margin of 15-4.
The Stags (2-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Brunswick (Brunswick, ME). The Dragons enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Brunswick beat Messalonskee (Oakland, ME), 13-5, in a league challenge.
The Trojans (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Oxford Hills (South Paris, ME). The Vikings enter the Class A challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Oxford Hills was overwhelmed by Mt. Ararat (Topsham, ME), 12-9, in a non-league challenge.
