The Milford Bearcats softball team scored 11 runs and limited the visiting Covington Trojans to 7 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Milford moves its record to 12-1 on the year. The Bearcats host Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL) to clash with the Cornjerkers in a Vermilion Valley game on Friday, April 19. The Cornjerkers come into the game with a record of 10-8. Hoopeston won 7-5 in their recent league battle against Oakwood (Fithian, IL)

The Trojans now possess a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Southmont for a non-league battle on Monday, April 22. Covington will meet a Mounties squad coming off a 22-4 league win over North Montgomery (Crawfordsville, IN). The Mounties record now stands at 4-5.
