The Homestead Spartans (Fort Wayne, IN) baseball the visiting Cathedral Fighting Irish (Indianapolis, IN), 10-5 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 8-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Edgewood for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 18. Homestead will clash with a Mustangs team coming off a 12-5 non-league loss to Bedford North Lawrence (Bedford, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-2.

With the defeat, Cathedral drops to 6-4 on the year. The Fighting irish travel to Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 19.
