New York High School Baseball - Colonie Central nips Rome Free Academy
April 18, 2025: Rome, NY 13441 The Colonie Central Wolfpack (Albany, NY) baseball got by the host Rome Free Academy Black Knights (Rome, NY), 2-1 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Wolfpack now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Shenendehowa for a Section 2 Suburban - Blue challenge on Monday, April 21. Colonie Central will clash with a Plainsmen team coming off a 8-1 league win over Guilderland (Guilderland Center, NY). The Plainsmen record now stands at 2-2.
With the defeat, Rome Free Academy drops to 3-2 on the year. The Black knights travel to Camden (Camden, NY) to clash with the Blue Devils in a Section 3 Tri-Valley challenge on Tuesday, April 22. The Blue Devils go into the challenge with a record of 3-1. Camden lost 6-4 in their recent league challenge against New Hartford (New Hartford, NY)
