The Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) baseball trounced the host Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA), 16-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.

The Grizzlies now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Forbush for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 19. Grassfield will clash with a Falcons team coming off a 19-0 league win over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 12-7.

With the defeat, Fairfax drops to 3-8 on the year. The Lions travel to West Springfield (Springfield, VA) to clash with the Spartans in a Patriot challenge on Tuesday, April 22.
