Washington High School Baseball - Meridian loses to Mount Vernon
April 18, 2025: Mount Vernon, WA 98273 Mount Vernon Bulldogs (Mount Vernon, WA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Meridian Trojans (Bellingham, WA), 12-2 in a league match.
With the triumph, Mount Vernon advances its record to 12-4 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Mt. Baker (Deming, WA) to battle the Mountaineers in a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Tuesday, April 22. The Mountaineers come into the match with a record of 1-12. Mt. Baker lost 25-5 in their recent league match against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA)
The Trojans now have a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Anacortes for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest match on Tuesday, April 22. Meridian will battle a Seahawks squad coming off a 17-3 league win over Nooksack Valley (Everson, WA). The Seahawks record now stands at 14-5.
