Maryland High School Lacrosse - Mater Dei drops to Archbishop Spalding
April 19, 2022: Severn, MD 21144 Archbishop Spalding Cavaliers (Severn, MD) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the visiting Mater Dei Monarchs (Santa Ana, CA), 9-2 in a non-league battle.
The Cavaliers now have a 8-2 record. They take the field next when they host Boys Latin for a MIAA A - Red battle on Friday, April 22. Archbishop Spalding will clash with a Lakers squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Severn School (Severna Park, MD). The Lakers record now stands at 7-2.
In their next game, the Monarchs clash with the Mount St. Joseph Gaels (Baltimore, MD) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 21. Mater Dei will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Gaels come into the battle with a 4-6 record after their 7-5 league loss to St. Paul's (Brooklandville, MD).
