Virginia High School Lacrosse - Independence drops to Meridian
April 19, 2023: Falls Church, VA 22043 Meridian Mustangs (Falls Church, VA) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad overcome the visiting Independence (Ashburn, VA), 11-3 in a non-league battle.
The Mustangs now have a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Washington-Liberty for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 20. Meridian will clash with a Generals squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Langley (McLean, VA). The Generals record now stands at 5-2.
In their next game, the clash with the Freedom Eagles (South Riding, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, April 21. Independence will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 3-4 record after their 11-2 non-league win over Park View (Sterling, VA).
