In Wednesday's non-league contest, the Walkertown Wolfpack (Walkertown, NC) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC), by a margin of 19-3.

With the triumph, Walkertown moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Wolfpack travel to McMichael (Mayodan, NC) to play the Phoenix in a Mid-State 2A contest on Friday, April 21. The Phoenix come into the contest with a record of 19-0. McMichael won 5-1 in their recent non-league contest against Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC)

In their next game, the Cardinals play the River Mill Jaguars (Graham, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, April 20. Cornerstone Charter will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Jaguars come into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 15-2 league loss to Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC).
