Ridgefield Tigers (Ridgefield, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Warde Mustangs (Fairfield, CT), 2-0 in a league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 6-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Trumbull for a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, April 21. Ridgefield will face a Eagles squad coming off a 5-0 league win over Darien (Darien, CT). The Eagles record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, Warde falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Stamford (Stamford, CT) to face the Black Knights in a Fairfield County challenge on Friday, April 21. The Black Knights enter the challenge with a record of 4-3.
