April 19, 2024: Johnston, IA 50131 The crowd at Friday's non-league test between the Valley Tigers (Elgin, IA) and the host Johnston Dragons (Johnston, IA), saw Valley's soccer squad get by Johnston by a count of 2-1.
The Tigers now hold a 9-0 record. They play next when they host Bishop Heelan Catholic for a non-league test on Saturday, April 20. Valley will meet a Crusaders squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Sioux City East (Sioux City, IA). The Crusaders record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Johnston drops to 4-6 on the season. The Dragons travel to Ankeny Centennial (Ankeny, IA) to meet the Jaguars in a CIML test on Tuesday, April 23. The Jaguars come into the test with a record of 6-2. Ankeny Centennial lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Waukee (Waukee, IA)
