April 19, 2024: Harwood, MD 20776 Southern Bulldogs (Harwood, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Glen Burnie Gophers (Glen Burnie, MD), 7-2 in a league challenge.
The Bulldogs now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Broadneck for a Anne Arundel County challenge on Monday, April 22. Southern will battle a Bruins squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to John Carroll (Bel Air, MD). The Bruins record now stands at 7-4.
With the loss, Glen Burnie falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Gophers host Meade (Fort Meade, MD) to battle the Mustangs in a Anne Arundel County challenge on Monday, April 22.
