North Carolina High School Softball - Sugar Creek topped by West Mecklenburg
April 19, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28214 West Mecklenburg Hawks (Charlotte, NC) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Sugar Creek Wildcats (Charlotte, NC), 26-11 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, West Mecklenburg upgrades its record to 1-11 on the year. The Hawks travel to Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to play the Mavericks in a Queen City 3A/4A game on Tuesday, April 23. The Mavericks enter the game with a record of 9-5. Mallard Creek lost 15-0 in their recent league game against Hough (Cornelius, NC)
The Wildcats now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Greater Cabarrus Stallions for a non-league game on Tuesday, April 23. Sugar Creek will play a Stallions squad coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to Gray Stone Day (Misenheimer, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 3-5.
