California High School Baseball - Salinas defeats Aptos

The Salinas Cowboys baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Aptos Mariners to 3 in the Cowboys non-league win on Saturday.

The Cowboys now hold a 6-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monterey for a PCAL - Gabilan test on Tuesday, April 22. Salinas will play a Dores team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Hollister (Hollister, CA). The Dores record now stands at 6-12.

With the defeat, Aptos drops to 5-10 on the year. The Mariners host San Lorenzo Valley (Felton, CA) to play the Cougars in a Santa Cruz Coast test on Tuesday, April 22. The Cougars go into the test with a record of 2-13. San Lorenzo Valley lost 14-1 in their recent league test against Soquel (Soquel, CA)
