The Hackensack Comets baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Wood-Ridge Blue Devils to 5 in the Comets non-league win on Saturday.

The Comets now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bergen Catholic for a non-league test on Monday, April 21. Hackensack will play a Crusaders team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Pascack Valley (Hillsdale, NJ). The Crusaders record now stands at 7-3.

With the defeat, Wood-Ridge drops to 5-5 on the year. The Blue devils travel to Garfield (Garfield, NJ) to play the Boilermakers in a NJIC - Meadowlands test on Monday, April 21. The Boilermakers go into the test with a record of 2-9. Garfield won 9-4 in their recent league test against Wallington (Wallington, NJ)
