April 19, 2025: Lexington, AL 35648 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL) and the host Lexington Golden Bears (Lexington, AL), observed Athens's softball team get by Lexington by a tally of 8-2.
The Golden Eagles (25-13) will now prepare for their bout against Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 28-8 record. In their last bout, Colbert Heights was routed by Lawrence County (Moulton, AL), 10-2, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Golden Bears clash with the West Morgan Rebels (Trinity, AL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, April 19. Lexington will attempt to advance on its 8-14 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 9-20 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Central (Florence, AL).
