The Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) softball routed the host Howard Lions (Ellicott City, MD), 11-5 in Saturday's non-league outing.

The Patriots now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northeast for a non-league outing on Saturday, April 19. Northern will encounter a Eagles team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Sparrows Point (Baltimore, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 11-0.

With the loss, Howard moves to 6-3 on the season. The Lions travel to Long Reach (Columbia, MD) to confront the Lightning in a Howard County match on Tuesday, April 22.
