Illinois High School Softball - Plainfield South tipped by Providence Catholic
April 19, 2025: New Lenox, IL 60451 Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) supporters left the game thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Plainfield South Cougars (Plainfield, IL), 7-5 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Providence Catholic improves its record to 10-4 on the year. The Celtics host Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL) to play the Spartans in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 23. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 7-6.
The Cougars now hold a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Plainfield East for a Suburban Prairie - South game on Tuesday, April 22. Plainfield South will play a Bengals squad coming off a 8-4 league win over Plainfield Central (Plainfield, IL). The Bengals record now stands at 8-6.
