West Virginia High School Softball - Winfield bounces Shady Spring
April 19, 2025: Winfield, WV 25213 The Winfield Generals softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Shady Spring Tigers to 0 in the Generals non-league win on Saturday.
The Generals now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Scott for a Cardinal battle on Saturday, April 19. Winfield will encounter a Skyhawks team coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Cabell Midland (Ona, WV). The Skyhawks record now stands at 11-7.
With the loss, Shady Spring moves to 5-6 on the season. The Tigers host Nicholas County (Summersville, WV) to encounter the Grizzlies in a Coalfield A battle on Wednesday, April 23. The Grizzlies come into the battle with a record of 5-6.
