Game Summary
First game of the year, The game started 1 hour late because the umpire did not show up on time. The Rams would send JR. Zach Musso to the mound for his first outing. He pitched a gem almost getting a complete 5 inning game for his first outing of the year. Sophomore Owen Smith came in and threw to the last batter striking him out. Offensively, AJ Brotz got the game started with a rocket shot at the third baseman that was too hot too handle. He would come around to score in the first. The Rams then scored 3 in the 2nd, 5 in the 4th, and 2 in the 5th, to get to a 10 run lead. Musso only allowed one run that came in the 2nd. So the Rams won the 5 inning shortened 11 to 1. Rookie sensation (Keefer Calkins - Senior) got his first put out in right field, first hit, and first RBI in his young highschool baseball career. Rookie (Austin Thorious - Senior) got his first in the top of the 6th, but it does not count because the game officially ended after 5. He did rip a laser beam single though.
