New Mexico High School Softball - Rio Rancho holds off Piedra Vista
April 2, 2022: Rio Rancho, NM 87124 The crowd at Saturday's non-league match between the Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) and the visiting Piedra Vista Panthers (Farmington, NM), saw Rio Rancho's softball squad nip Piedra Vista by a count of 13-11.
The Rams now sport a 10-2 record. They take the field next when they host Volcano Vista for a non-league match on Saturday, April 2. Rio Rancho will face a Hawks squad coming off a 18-2 league win over Cibola (Albuquerque, NM). The Hawks record now stands at 4-1.
With the loss, Piedra Vista falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Bears in a match on Saturday, April 9. The Bears enter the match with a record of 4-1.
