The Mount Vernon Bulldogs got by the visiting Auburn Mountainview Lions softball squad by a count of 9-8 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Bulldogs (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Mt. Baker (Deming, WA). The Mountaineers go into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest battle with a 1-0 record.
