Brandon Bulldogs (Brandon, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ocean Springs Greyhounds (Ocean Springs, MS), 8-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Petal for a 6A Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 5.

With the loss, Ocean Springs falls to 13-7 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS) to battle the Panthers in a 5A Region 8 challenge on Monday, April 4. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 3-8. Pascagoula won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS)
