April 2, 2022: Niantic, IL 62551 In Saturday's non-league contest, the Olympia Spartans (Stanford, IL) softball team held off the host Tri-City/Sangamon Valley Storm (Niantic, IL), by a margin of 4-3.
With the triumph, Olympia moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Spartans host Paxton-Buckley-Loda (Paxton, IL) to play the Panthers in a Illini Prairie contest on Monday, April 4. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 1-7. Paxton-Buckley-Loda lost 5-0 in their recent league contest against Illinois Valley Central (Chillicothe, IL)
In their next game, the Storm play the Auburn Trojans (Auburn, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 4. Tri-City/Sangamon Valley will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record.
