April 2, 2024: Hot Springs National Park, AR 71901 The Cutter-Morning Star Eagles routed the visiting Mount Ida Lions softball squad by a final score of 17-2 in Tuesday's non-league battle.
The Eagles (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Conway Christian (Conway, AR). The Eagles go into the 2A Region 5 battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Conway Christian was routed by Magnet Cove (Malvern, AR), 15-0, in a league battle.
The Lions now possess a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Mineral Springs for a 1A Region 7 battle on Wednesday, April 3. Mount Ida will confront a Hornets squad coming off a 12-7 league win over Blevins (Blevins, AR). The Hornets record now stands at 1-2.
