The Pearl River Rebels overwhelmed the visiting Franklinton Demons softball squad by a count of 16-9 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Rebels meet the St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 3. Pearl River will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Comets go into the challenge with a 16-7 record after their 10-7 non-league win over Riverside Academy (Reserve, LA).

The Demons (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Salmen (Slidell, LA). The Spartans go into the 4A District 8 challenge with a 3-11 record. In their last challenge, Salmen was routed by Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA), 21-6, in a non-league challenge.
