The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Fernandina Beach Fighting Pirates (Fernandina Beach, FL) and the visiting Tocoi Creek Toros (St. Augustine, FL), saw Fernandina Beach's baseball team nip Tocoi Creek by a final score of 6-5.

With the triumph, Fernandina Beach moves its record to 17-3 on the season. The Fighting Pirates host Fleming Island (Orange Park, FL) to confront the Golden Eagles in a non-league contest on Friday, April 3. The Golden Eagles come into the contest with a record of 14-8. Fleming Island lost 1-0 in their recent non-league contest against Beachside (St. Johns, FL)

The Toros now possess a 11-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bartram Trail for a 6A District 2 contest on Tuesday, April 7.
