The McGuffey Highlanders baseball squad (Claysville, PA), 6-3 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA)

The Rangers (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Frazier (Perryopolis, PA). The Commodores enter the WPIAL 2A 1 battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Frazier held off Chartiers-Houston (Houston, PA), 7-5, in a league battle.

Next, the Highlanders face the Charleroi Cougars (Charleroi, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 4 contest, on Tuesday, April 7. McGuffey will attempt to move on its 3-6 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 3-3 record after their 8-4 league loss to Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA).
