In Thursday's non-league game, the host Herbert Hoover Huskies baseball team scored a close 1-0 win over the University Hawks.

The Huskies (3-3) will now prepare for their game against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV). The Indians go into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Bridgeport was tipped by Cabell Midland (Ona, WV), 6-5, in a non-league match.

The Hawks now have a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hurricane for a non-league match on Friday, April 3. University will battle a Redskins squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV). The Redskins record now stands at 6-2.
