In Thursday's non-league match, the host Lakeland Lakers softball team scored a nice 17-6 victory over the NorthWood Panthers.

The Lakers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Prairie Heights (LaGrange, IN). The Panthers go into the Northeast Corner match with a 1-0 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the West Noble Chargers (Ligonier, IN) in a non-league match, on Monday, April 13. NorthWood will attempt to better on its 2-2 season record.
