The North Buncombe Black Hawks (Weaverville, NC) softball routed the host Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC), 12-1 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Black Hawks now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host T.C. Roberson for a Mountain 5A/6A outing on Friday, April 3. North Buncombe will encounter a Rams team coming off a 18-3 non-league loss to Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Rams record now stands at 3-5.

With the loss, Mitchell moves to 9-4 on the season. The Mountaineers travel to Cloudland (Roan Mountain, TN) to encounter the Highlanders in a non-league outing on Tuesday, April 7.
