In Thursday's non-league match, the host Perry County Central Commodores softball team scored a nice 12-2 win over the Rootstown Rovers.

The Commodores (6-7) will now prepare for their game against Floyd Central (Eastern, KY). The Jaguars enter the non-league game with a 5-1 record. In their last game, Floyd Central defeated Shelby Valley (Pikeville, KY), 14-4, in a non-league game.

The Rovers now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Middlesboro for a non-league game on Friday, April 3. Rootstown will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Bell County (Pineville, KY). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-5.
