Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX), 9-0 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Robstown upgrades its record to 15-13 on the year. The Cottonpickers host Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Region IV District 31 game on Tuesday, April 7. The Wildcats enter the game with a record of 20-8. Calallen won 22-0 in their recent league battle against Zapata (Zapata, TX)

With the loss, Port Isabel moves to 2-14 on the season. The Tarpons travel to Valley View (Pharr, TX) to confront the Tigers in a 4A Region IV District 32 battle on Tuesday, April 7.
