April 20, 2023: London, KY 40744 Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the South Laurel Cardinals (London, KY) and the visiting Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY), saw South Laurel's baseball squad knock off Middlesboro by a count of 14-0.
Coming up next, the Cardinals play the Williamsburg Yellowjackets (Williamsburg, KY) in a District 50 battle, on Monday, April 24. South Laurel will attempt to move on its 9-11 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a 10-11 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to Harlan (Harlan, KY).
The Yellowjackets now possess a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harlan County for a District 52 battle on Monday, April 24. Middlesboro will play a Black Bears squad coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Union County (Maynardville, TN). The Black Bears record now stands at 9-7.
