April 20, 2024: Belleville, IL 62223 Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Belleville West Maroons (Belleville, IL), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Celtics confront the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, April 20. Providence Catholic will attempt to move on its 9-7 season record. The Panthers enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to St. Joseph's Academy (St. Louis, MO).
The Maroons now possess a 5-10 record. They take the field next when they host Quincy Notre Dame for a challenge on Saturday, April 20. Belleville West will confront a Raiders team coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Rochester (Rochester, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 7-5.
