April 20, 2024: Medina, TN 38355 The South Gibson Hornets softball team scored 6 runs and limited the visiting Athens Golden Eagles to 1 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, South Gibson improves its record to 21-7 on the year. The Hornets host Muscle Shoals (Muscle Shoals, AL) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league game on Saturday, April 20. The Trojans come into the game with a record of 25-6. Muscle Shoals lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Cherokee County (Centre, AL)
In their next game, the Golden Eagles clash with the Sparkman Senators (Harvest, AL) in a non-league game, on Monday, April 22. Athens will attempt to improve on its 17-8 season record. The Senators come into the game with a 12-15 record after their 8-5 league win over Grissom (Huntsville, AL).
