Indiana High School Softball - Bremen bounces Culver Academies
April 20, 2024: Bremen, IN 46506 The Bremen Lions (Bremen, IN) softball routed the visiting Culver Academies Eagles (Culver, IN), 16-4 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lions (6-3) will now prepare for their bout against South Bend St. Joseph (South Bend, IN). The Huskies go into the Northern Indiana bout with a 11-1 record. In their last bout, South Bend St. Joseph toppled Bellmont (Decatur, IN), 10-0, in a non-league bout.
The Eagles now possess a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to North Judson-San Pierre for a non-league bout on Monday, April 22. Culver Academies will confront a Bluejays squad coming off a 13-0 non-league win over Frontier (Chalmers, IN). The Bluejays record now stands at 4-1.

Lion's Bats Stay Hot in win over CGA - 16-4
The Bremen Lady Lion softball team surrendered 3 runs in the first inning against Culver Academies on Saturday at Pfeiffer Field, but responded with 6 of their own in the bottom of the frame to win the inning.
The Lions then added 9 runs in the 2nd inning & one in the 3rd. CGA added a single run in the top of the 5th, ending the scoring.
Bremen pounded out 14 hits led by Eliana Grubbs & Mickie Shively with 3 hits each, Delainey Neher & Yajaira Jimenz had two each. Chrissy Grabowski, Kenzie Shumaker, Elle Kling, and Isabella Calentine added singles to round out the offense.
Grabowski picked up the win from the circle allowing three hits, Peyton Mason finished the game tossing the last two innings allowing only one hit.
