April 20, 2024: Wanaque, NJ 07465 The Lakeland Regional Lancers (Wanaque, NJ) softball nipped the visiting Pompton Lakes Cardinals (Pompton Lakes, NJ), 5-4 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lancers (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against Wayne Hills (Wayne, NJ). The Patriots go into the Big North - Independence bout with a 1-6 record. In their last bout, Wayne Hills was edged by Fair Lawn (Fair Lawn, NJ), 8-0, in a league bout.
The Cardinals now possess a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Manchester Regional for a NJIC - Colonial bout on Monday, April 22. Pompton Lakes will confront a Falcons squad coming off a 14-0 non-league loss to Bergen Charter (Hackensack, NJ). The Falcons record now stands at 1-6.
