New Jersey High School Softball - Pequannock can't hold off Verona
April 20, 2024: Pompton Plains, NJ 07444 The Verona Hillbillies softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Pequannock Golden Panthers to 14 in the Hillbillies non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Verona improves its record to 8-4 on the year. The Hillbillies host Glen Ridge (Glen Ridge, NJ) to clash with the Ridgers in a SEC - Liberty game on Monday, April 22. The Ridgers come into the game with a record of 4-3. Glen Ridge lost 6-5 in their recent league game against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ)
In their next game, the Golden Panthers clash with the Madison Dodgers (Madison, NJ) in a NJAC - Liberty game, on Monday, April 22. Pequannock will attempt to improve on its 2-11 season record. The Dodgers come into the game with a 4-7 record after their 5-3 non-league loss to West Morris Mendham (Mendham, NJ).
