The Southside Sharks routed the visiting West Ouachita Chiefs softball squad by a count of 15-7 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Sharks (21-7) will now prepare for their battle against St. Amant (St. Amant, LA). The Gators go into the non-league battle with a 26-10 record. In their last battle, St. Amant topped Sam Houston (Lake Charles, LA), 9-8, in a non-league battle.
